Google Photos has added a new feature that allows users to see less of certain people in their ‘Memories’.
By default, the Memories tab shows old photos and videos that Google Photos automatically selects and packages together. You can then save these as albums, and even use generative AI to give them a title.
However, that can mean that some people show up in your memories that you’d rather not. As Android Police reports, you know have the option to choose people to “Show less”.
Once saved, this then then prevents them from appearing alone in a photo in Memories. However, the person can still appear in group photos with other people.
If the user feels that the “Show less” feature is not enough, Google Photos still has the tools to “Hide” or “Block” certain people completely if they prefer.
The idea of the “Show Less” feature is to give users a little more flexibility. It can be found within the settings menu of the Google Photos app.
