According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing, crashing into a parked Gulfstream 200. Reports indicate that the jet’s left main landing gear failed, leading to the impact. The flight had originated from Austin, Texas, as confirmed by airport officials.
The Scottsdale Fire Department confirmed that one person was killed, and two others were transported to trauma centres. One injured individual remains in stable condition at a local hospital.
Vince Neil’s girlfriend injured in private jet collision
Neil’s girlfriend, Rain Hannah, was among those hurt in the crash. TMZ reported that she suffered five broken ribs, while another passenger, named Ashley, was also hospitalised. The jet was carrying two pilots, two passengers, and several dogs at the time of the incident.
A statement from Neil’s attorney, Worrick Robinson IV, said: “For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane.” He added that Neil is “grateful for the aid of all first responders.”
Neil’s longtime manager, Allen Kovac, told TMZ that the band is devising ideas to help the victims’ families. Fellow rock star Bret Michaels, frontman of Poison, expressed condolences on Facebook, stating he was “relieved” that Neil was not aboard.

Investigations into the cause of private jet collision
Authorities, including the FAA, are investigating the cause of the crash. The airport’s runway has been closed indefinitely as officials assess the damage and recover the victim’s body.
This incident follows a series of aviation disasters in the US, including a jetliner-helicopter collision in Washington, D.C., a medical transport plane crash in Philadelphia, and a commuter plane crash in Alaska, which together claimed over 80 lives in the past two weeks.
Scottsdale Airport, a key hub for private jets, is particularly busy during events such as the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament, currently taking place nearby.
