Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds will support crossplay. Further details are pending, of course, but this would mark the first time players across consoles and PC can group for hunts.
It’s also the latest title from the publisher to implement crossplay, following in the footsteps of Exoprimal and Street Fighter 6. Whether it changes or improves on the lobby systems seen in World and Rise remains to be seen. In the meantime, head here for the latest trailer, which showcases some new monsters.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Set in the Forbidden Lands, it sees the Research Commission charting its regions while tackling dangerous foes. While all the classic weapon types return, they each have new actions, and a new Focus Mode is available for increased precision. Players can also carry a secondary weapon on hunts, switching to it without returning to base.
The next trailer debuts at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20th. Check out our feature for everything you should know about Monster Hunter Wilds.
