Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, launched last week, has sold over one million copies. The remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
While retaining the story and much of the dialogue, the visuals have been completely overhauled with Unreal Engine 5. It also features a new modern control scheme and over-the-shoulder perspective alongside Quick-Dial, Quick-Camouflage Change, and even a rudimentary compass. While Snake vs. Monkey, a crossover with Ape Escape, returns, Xbox players can partake in a different version of the minigame with Bomberman.

Konami hasn’t committed to subsequent remakes (see Silent Hill), but if there’s fan demand, producer Noriaki Okamura and Yuji Korekado would be interested.
