When Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii launches early next year, it’s going to deliver another rather unique kind of Yakuza / Like a Dragon experience, with fan-favourite Goro Majima taking centerstage as an amnesiac pirate. In other ways, however, it’s going to stick to what has worked for the franchise as long as it has been around- the minigames.
With over a dozen minutes of new gameplay footage uploaded recently by IGN, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has showcased some of its minigame offerings, and both of the ones seen in the video will be familiar to series fans.
There’s the kart racing minigame Dragon Kart in all its Mario Kart inspired glory, and, of course, karaoke, which no Yakuza game is ever going to be complete without. Meanwhile, amidst all of that, the video also offers glimpses of the game’s cosmetic customization options. Check it out below.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is due out on February 28 next year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will retail for $60.
