There’s another pandemic that’s ravaging the world today — and no, it’s not a new COVID variant. It’s false positive AI detection.
Innocent students all over the world are suffering from this, and there used to be nothing that they can do about it. Not until AI bypassers came along. Now, they’re everywhere.
Enter Humbot — one of the newest kids on the block and it looks to be promising. But is it really as good as it claims?
In this article, I’ll tell you everything you need to know about Humbot including its features, output quality, AI likelihood scores, and what exactly sets it apart (for better or worse) from other AI bypassing tools.
What is Humbot?
Trust me — I’ve had my fair share of false positives over the last few years, and it hasn’t been pretty. One thing I’ve implemented into my writing arsenal that helped a lot are AI bypassers. Humbot is one of them.
Humbot works similarly to paraphrasing tools like QuillBot or Grammarly, but with a twist. Instead of prioritizing sentence restructuring for readability, Humbot focuses on paraphrasing your input so that it could get low AI likelihood scores from detectors. Their process includes removing common AI words and other telltale signs like repetition and overreliance on transition words.
Humbot’s Features
Unlike other paraphrasing tools that are jam-packed with features such as QuillBot, Humbot only has one defining feature: its AI humanizer. This takes an input, “humanizes” it, and turns it into something that’s near invisible from AI detectors.
We’ll talk about this in a bit, but in the meantime, Humbot also has an AI detector feature. However, it’s not really their AI detector per se, but a collection of the following AI detectors:
Humbot also has an “Undetectable AI” button at their navigation bar, but if I’m being honest, I don’t exactly understand its difference from the AI humanizer feature. When I tried to input the same essay that I tested on the AI humanizer, this feature just gave me almost the same exact output. I believe this was just an oversight (or maybe an SEO booster) from Humbot.
Humbot Review: Output Quality
Most AI bypassers add intentional mistakes to hide their output from AI, so let’s see if Humbot does the same.
Scents are time machines, instantly transporting us to moments long past. A whiff of cinnamon might conjure childhood holidays, while the smell of old books can resurrect forgotten school days. This olfactory nostalgia bypasses conscious thought, tapping directly into our emotional core. But this power is a double-edged sword. While comforting scents can soothe and ground us, others may trigger painful memories we’ve struggled to bury. The cologne of an ex-lover or the sterile smell of a hospital can reopen old wounds in an instant. Our scent memories reveal the fragility of our present, showing how easily we can be swept back into the past by something as ephemeral as a fragrance. |
They say that scents are time machines, whisking us back to long ago moments. Cinnamon will take you back to Christmas as a child, and the smell of dog-eared pages can give memories from long ago school days. This sense of olfactory nostalgia works without telling us we should remember, it goes straight to the emotional core and skips conscious thought. However, this power is a two-edged sword. Soothing smells may help ground us in the here and now, but for anyone who has buried painful feelings remember that memories can be hidden below our subconscious. A former lovers cologne, the sterile smell of a hospital- it will reopen another one previojsly thought to be closed and healed. Our scent memories remind us just how temporary our present is, so fleeting a breeze stirs open that can be uprooted by something as ethereal as the smell of something. |
Let’s dive into a quick comparison of these two essays, focusing solely on grammar, spelling, and readability. No frills, just the facts.
The original essay shines in all three areas. It’s grammatically sound, with no spelling errors in sight. The writing flows smoothly, making it a breeze to read. Short, punchy sentences mix well with longer ones, creating a nice rhythm. The author’s word choice is spot-on, using terms like “olfactory” and “ephemeral” effectively.
Humbot’s, on the other hand, has a few hiccups. There are spelling mistakes (“previojsly” instead of “previously”) and some grammatical issues. Sentence structure is sometimes awkward, making it harder to follow. The ideas are there, but the execution isn’t as polished as the original. It’s still readable, but it requires more effort from the reader.
One big thing that I’ve noticed that Humbot does (you will see it once you read its other examples in later sections) is that it adds proper nouns even when it doesn’t make sense and even when it’s not present in the original text. This is a huge no-no when it comes to paraphrasing and it comes off as AI hallucination.

Is Humbot Better Than Undetectable AI?
We can’t talk about AI bypassers without talking Undetectable AI. This is one of the earliest AI bypassers in the market and somehow still continues to be one of the most effective. Since Humbot is relatively new to the ballgame, let’s see how these two compare against each other in terms of quality and accuracy.
Output Quality
While racial tensions dominate headlines, an insidious divide festers beneath the surface: class. This economic chasm slices through racial lines, pitting the haves against the have-nots with brutal efficiency. Education, healthcare, housing, and justice—all are commodities in this system, available to the highest bidder. The wealthy, regardless of race, inhabit a world of opportunity and security. Meanwhile, the poor struggle in a landscape of limited choices and constant precarity. This economic apartheid breeds resentment and despair, fueling social unrest and political polarization. Racial prejudice, though still a critical issue, often serves as a smokescreen for the true battle: the fight for resources and power. By focusing solely on race, we risk overlooking the systemic economic inequalities that perpetuate injustice across all communities. To heal our fractured society, we must confront the uncomfortable truth that our wallets, more than our skin color, dictate our place in the social hierarchy. |
Thoughf racial tensions may be the household discussion, a more devious separation boils over: class. This economic divide cuts right along racial lines, leaving the haves to fend for themselves against of those who have not with extraordinary precision. A commodity system in which education, healthcare, housing and justice are all up for sale to the highest bidder. Abortions are for them something that wealthy people – of any race – can generally afford to avoid, and the world even Michelle Obama inhabits is a wide landscape of opportunity and security. At the same time, there is no place for them in a world so scarce that one can never stop feeling threatened. The result is inequality, which ultimately leads to resentment and despair that fuels political confrontation. Although racial bias is still a very real problem, it’s often used as a cover for the more basic fight: over resources and power. As we laser-focus on race, are we blinding ourselves to the broader and more intransigent economic inequalities that drive injustice through all racial demographics? To repair our fractious society, we must acknowledge the awfully inconvenient fact that where you stand in this so-called hierarchy is more heavily weighted by what’s inside your pocket than outside of it. |
In todays news discussions, about tensions take the spotlight. Lurking beneath the surface is another important issue; class division. This economic gap cuts across boundaries setting those with wealth against those without in an efficient manner. Education, healthcare, housing and justice are all treated as commodities in this system available to those who can afford them. The wealthy regardless of their race live in a world of opportunities and security. On the hand the fortunate face limited choices and constant uncertainty. This economic separation breeds bitterness and hopelessness leading to unrest and political divisions. While racial bias remains a concern it often masks the struggle for resources and influence. By concentrating on race related issues we risk ignoring the economic disparities that fuel injustice across various communities. To mend our society we must confront the reality that our financial status has a greater impact, on our societal position than our skin color does. |
Let me start this off by saying that I think Humbot and Undetectable AI are on par in terms of readability — which isn’t saying much considering they both rely on adding mistakes to avoid detection. The biggest difference being that the former also adds spelling errors, which is just an unneeded layer in my opinion. All it does is bring down the readability of the entire essay just to knock off a few AI likelihood points.
Now, here’s my biggest pet peeve with Humbot. As I mentioned earlier, it tends to add proper nouns to appear more human. Read the entire text above. Is there any good reason to add “Michelle Obama” to the essay in a topic she bears little to no relevance?
This practice isn’t only questionable, but downright irresponsible in my opinion. Not to mention that it can be (and should be) mistaken for AI hallucination by actual human readers.
But that’s just the tip of the spear. Here’s a bigger reason why I’d recommend Humbot over Undetectable AI:
The beluga whale, with its ghostly white form and haunting song, faces an existential threat in our warming, polluted oceans. These Arctic sentinels are canaries in the coal mine of climate change, their declining populations a stark warning of ecosystem collapse. Industrial development encroaches on their habitats, while noise pollution disrupts their intricate communication. Chemical contaminants concentrate in their blubber, passed from mother to calf, poisoning generations. Melting sea ice destroys their hunting grounds and exposes them to new predators and diseases. Yet conservation efforts remain woefully inadequate. Piecemeal protections and half-hearted regulations do little to address the systemic threats these creatures face. We pay lip service to their plight while continuing to plunder their home for resources. The fate of the beluga is inextricably linked to our own. Their decline is a reflection of our failure to steward the planet. To save them is to save ourselves from the consequences of our environmental negligence. |
A beluga whale, like an underwater ghost with its white color and eerie voiceover song is in existential crisis as our oceans warm and die everywhere people live. The plight of these Arctic sentinels, their dwindling ranks and sorry fates, are the canaries in our climate change coalmine; we ignore them at great peril to ourselves. Their homes are infringed upon by industrial advances and a cacophony of human-generated noise drowns out their delicate, rhythmical language. They retain chemical contaminants in their blubber and can pass the poison onto other generation through lactation. Decreasing sea ice also leads to a loss of habitat, exposing them to an increase in predators and pathogens. Indeed, eforts to conserve them are hopelessly inadequate. But those are patchwork and insufficient measures to save creatures facing threats on a systemic scale. While continuing to rape her for all she offers, paying lips service as if We give a shit about them making an actual change. But the beluga’s future is intertwined with our own. That they are disappearing is a legacy of our caretaking sorry state. If for nothing else then we must save them as a way to saving us from our own consequences of environmental negligence. |
The beluga whale, known for its striking appearance and mesmerizing song is, in danger due to the impact of climate change and pollution on our oceans. These majestic creatures from the Arctic serve as indicators of the effects of our changing climate with their diminishing numbers serving as a reminder of potential ecosystem collapse. Their habitats are increasingly threatened by activities while noise pollution disrupts their communication patterns. Harmful chemicals accumulating in their blubber are passed down through generations posing a threat to their survival. The melting sea ice not affects their hunting grounds. Also exposes them to new dangers such, as predators and diseases. Despite some conservation efforts being made they fall short in addressing the challenges faced by these creatures. Current measures seem insufficient to combat the threats they encounter. While we acknowledge their struggle our actions still contribute to exploiting their environment for resources. The future of the whale is intertwined with our fate. Their decline serves as a reflection of humanitys failure to protect our planet responsibly. Saving them means safeguarding ourselves from the repercussions of neglecting responsibilities. |
When I first skimmed Humbot’s version of this essay, I didn’t see anything amiss — not until I re-read paragraph #3.
Did you catch it?
Yep, that’s right — Humbot, for some reason, also adds profanities to your essay. Granted, I only got this issue once with their service, but it’s still a roll of a die. What happens when you absent-mindedly submit Humbot’s essay and a professor reads this? Nothing good, I imagine.

The Bottom Line
While I do think that Humbot is better than most bypassers (even Undetectable AI) at avoiding detection, I would never — in a million years — recommend Humbot. My reasoning is very simple:
I believe that Humbot is harmful to the writing community.
Since paraphrasing tools have been around, one of their biggest selling points is that they can create publish-ready outputs. Imagine if you’re absentmindedly using Humbot and you accidentally use their essay as-is without double-checking, then it somehow outputs an almost fictional recounting of your input or adds a profanity to avoid detection.
I shudder even just thinking about it.
Other bypassers such as Undetectable AI and Netus are much better options in my opinion. If you’re looking for more information about them, here’s a quick comparison article. Good luck!
