Huawei has announced its new generation of flagship smartwatches, the Watch GT6 series, and it includes some especially impressive battery life claims.
The 46mm editions of the Huawei Watch GT6 and the Huawei Watch GT6 Pro come with an advanced high-silicon stacked battery, which results in 65% higher capacity than the outgoing Watch GT5 series.
As a result, both 46mm variants can supposedly get up to 21 days of battery life if your usage is light. The smaller 41mm version of the regular Huawei Watch GT6 can last a not-inconsiderable 14 days.
Compare that to the Apple Watch Series 11 and its 38-hour estimate in Low Power mode, and it’s quite something.

Huawei Watch GT6 design
The Huawei Watch GT6 Pro is the looker of the two, with premium materials such as a sapphire glass front, an aviation-grade titanium alloy body, and a nanocrystal ceramic rear cover. It comes in brown, titanium, and black.
This Pro model also features a sleek raised timing bezel and a 5.5% larger display than its predecessor. Huawei has boosted the peak brightness of that screen to 3000 nits.

As for the regular Huawei Watch GT6, the 46mm variant comes in green, brown and black. The 41mm model comes in purple, white, black, brown, and gold.
Huawei Watch GT6 fitness features
Huawei claims that these are the first smartwatches to come with cycling virtual power – a way to supply cyclists with the most precise way to measure riding intensity. Cyclists can check their riding performance in real time using an easy-to-understand power metre.
There are also enhanced features for trail running, skiing, and golf. Huawei’s new Sunflower Positioning System is at play here too, supposedly providing ultra-precise GPS readings.
Elsewhere, Huawei’s TruSense system is back, offering multiple health tracking metrics, including cardiovascular health monitoring. There’s a new HRV (Heart Rate Variability) metric in there too, offering a real-time assessment of your training status to help you recover more efficiently.

Huawei Watch Ultimate 2
The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 was also announced, following on the heels of 2023’s original Huawei Watch Ultimate outdoors sports watch.
This time it’s rated for 150-metre diving, which is an industry first. It also incorporates a sonar-based underwater communication.
The Huawei Watch D2 blood pressure smartwatch, meanwhile, is now available in blue.
Huawei Watch pricing
Pricing for the Huawei Watch GT6 starts from £229 for the regular model, and £329 for the Huawei Watch GT6 Pro.
There’s a £30 discount offer for those who buy at launch, but it’s exclusive to the Huawei Store.
We’re not sure why, but Huawei didn’t provide pricing for the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 ahead of the announcement. It could be due to a more limited release that may not include the UK, but that remains to be seen.
