First, we need to talk about AI detection tools, and specifically, where they might be lacking.
I’ll be the first person to say that I’ve always believed that there should be a way to tell whether or not a piece of writing was written with AI. However, the implementation of this technology, for the most part, has been underwhelming and sometimes dangerous.
More and more students are being hit with false positive AI detection, some of them having no recourse to battle this phenomena … until AI humanizers.
Today, I’m going to walk you through how to lower your chances of getting falsely accused of using LLMs when writing history essays with Undetectable AI. Let’s get started.
First Things First: Should You Use AI for Assignments?
Well, yes. That’s what LLMs are for — but there’s a pretty significant line you should never cross, and that’s cheating.
Look, I get it — AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude are incredibly tempting. They can write essays, solve complex math problems, and even debug your code. But here’s the thing about using AI for school work: it’s all about how you use it. Letting AI do all the heavy lifting is where things get messy — and I mean academically-get-kicked-out messy.
Use AI to enhance your understanding, not replace it. Because at the end of the day, those assignments aren’t just busywork — they’re your ticket to actually learning something valuable. And between you and me? Understanding the material will always feel better than letting a machine do all the work.
With that, enough primer. Here’s how Undetectable AI can help you with history essays.
What is Undetectable AI?
Undetectable AI is an AI bypasser which works similar to paraphrasing tools, except its only goal is to humanize your content. It removes telltale signs that a piece of writing came from LLMs, rearranges text to be “more human,” and adds emotion to your essays. If you’re interested, here is our complete review of Undetectable AI.

What’s the Catch?
AI humanizers have this certain issue where their outputs are often riddled with errors, but here’s the thing: they’re intentional. Unfortunately, the most efficient way of lowering AI likelihood scores is by adding grammar mistakes. After all, it couldn’t be written with LLMs if it’s poorly written, right?
Here’s an example:
The International Space Station (ISS) began as a collaborative effort between multiple nations to create a permanent human presence in space. The idea was conceived in the 1980s, with NASA leading the project alongside space agencies from Russia, Europe, Japan, and Canada. The first module, Zarya, was launched by Russia on November 20, 1998, followed by the U.S.-built Unity module, connecting the station’s first components. Over the years, additional modules and solar panels were added, expanding the station’s capabilities. The ISS became fully operational in the early 2000s, serving as a hub for scientific research, technological advancements, and international cooperation, paving the way for future deep-space exploration missions. |
The International Space Station or ISS is a space station that was developed by many countries to have a permanent human presence in space. It was originated from the idea developed in the 1980s with NASA as the leading agency for the project in partnership with Russia, Europe, Japan and Canada. The first component, Zarya, was launched by Russia on Nov. 20, 1998, and was followed by the first piece of the U.S.-built Unity module, which sparred the first components of the station. The station was expanded with extra modules and solar panels over the years. The ISS was completed in the early 2000s and has since functioned as a research facility, technological testing ground, and the first step in future deep-space exploration missions, all while representing a symbol of international cooperation. |
Undetectable AI’s version shows several noticeable issues. There are awkward spacing errors (multiple spaces between words) that disrupt the reading experience. The phrasing “which sparred the first components” is incorrect — the original correctly used “connecting.” Some unnecessary word additions like “or” after “International Space Station” and phrase changes like “originated from the idea developed” make the text less concise than the original.
How to Use Undetectable AI to Write History Essays
So, how should you really use Undetectable AI? Here’s a quick guide:
Step #1: Choose an LLM
This is your easiest choice. In fact, we can make it easier for you.
We tested Undetectable AI with the best LLMs to see which one works best, and spoiler alert: it’s Claude. So, that’s the one we’ll be using today.

Just a short primer on Claude: it’s a model created by Anthropic that focuses not only on being a helpful AI assistant, but also safe and ethical. Like ChatGPT, it can engage in substantive conversations, assist with analysis and creative tasks, and provide detailed responses across a wide range of topics from coding to creative writing.
Step #2: Write the Perfect Prompt
What makes the perfect prompt? Is it how you phrase the instruction or how detailed it is?
Trick question: it’s both.
The biggest issue with LLMs even today is AI hallucination. Notice how sometimes ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini give you the wrong information even with the simplest questions?

Yep, that’s hallucination.
The easiest way to prevent this from happening is by giving LLMs the information they need to write the perfect essay. This will also help you as a student because it prevents you from relying solely on AI to do the research, create an outline, and write the assignment. Here’s the prompt template I personally use:
Hi, [LLM Model]. Pretend you’re a [Year level] student and you’re writing a [Type of assignment]. Craft a good response. These are all the information you need: Topic: [Topic] Question Posed: [Question] Supporting Information: [Any helpful information along with sources] |
This is how it should look like after putting all information needed:
Hi, Claude. Pretend you’re a college freshman student and you’re writing a history essay (word count: 150). Craft a good response. These are all the information you need: Topic: The History of Oxford University Question Posed: Why Oxford Persists Supporting Information: Founding and Early History Established circa 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world Grew rapidly in the 12th century after King Henry II banned English students from studying in Paris Officially recognized with a royal charter in 1248 Early tensions between students and locals led to the establishment of Cambridge University in 1209 Medieval and Renaissance Period Development of colleges (University College in 1249, Balliol in 1263, Merton in 1264, etc.) Strong ties to the Catholic Church, later influenced by the Protestant Reformation Important figures: John Wycliffe (challenged the Catholic Church), Erasmus (studied at Oxford) Humanism and Renaissance learning influenced curriculum changes Early Modern Period (16th–18th Century) Role in the English Reformation and the execution of Catholic martyrs Expansion of subjects beyond theology and philosophy (natural sciences, mathematics) Royal patronage under Elizabeth I and later monarchs Establishment of institutions like the Bodleian Library (1602) 19th Century Reforms and Expansion Shift from religious control to a more secular administration 1830s–1850s: Oxford Movement (Anglican religious revival) Admission of non-Anglicans in 1871 and women in 1878 (fully equal status in 1920) Growth of science and research with new laboratories and fields of study 20th and 21st Century Developments Played a role in both World Wars (military training, intellectual contributions) Further expansion of disciplines (computer science, business, medicine) Rise of international students and increased diversity Modern research contributions (Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine) Continues to rank among the top universities globally |
Oxford University has endured for nearly a millennium due to its ability to evolve while maintaining academic excellence. Established around 1096, Oxford became England’s primary center of learning, especially after King Henry II barred students from studying in Paris. Despite early conflicts, such as tensions with locals that led to the founding of Cambridge in 1209, Oxford thrived through the medieval period, expanding with colleges like Balliol and Merton. The university adapted to religious shifts during the Reformation, later broadening its curriculum beyond theology to sciences and mathematics. By the 19th century, reforms allowed greater inclusivity, welcoming non-Anglicans and women. In the 20th and 21st centuries, Oxford continued expanding research, significantly contributing to fields like medicine and technology. Its adaptability, strong global reputation, and commitment to intellectual progress ensure its lasting influence as one of the world’s top universities. |
Pretty nice essay, right? Here’s the problem:

With a score of 100% AI and universities cracking down on AI misuse, it’s almost a certainty that this essay will be returned to you with low marks. So, what can you do?
Use Undetectable AI.
Step #3: Use Undetectable AI
Before I ask Undetectable AI to tweak Claude’s output, you should first know about output customization. This platform gives you the power to “control” over the final version by selecting an appropriate use case, readability, and balance level.
- Use Case: General Writing, Essay, Article, Marketing Material, Story, Cover Letter, Report, Business Material, Legal Material
- Readability Level: High School, University, Doctorate, Journalist, Marketing
- Balance Level: More human, more readable, balanced.
For this specific example, it’s best to stick with essay, university, and more human. Here’s what Undetectable AI’s version of my essay looks like:

As for its AI likelihood score:

Now, it might be tempting to hand this to your professor and forget about it … that is, until it gets returned to you. Always remember: there’s more than one way to check for AI writing — detection tools and a quick read. Because of grammar errors, this wouldn’t pass the latter.
So, here’s what you should do …
Step #4: Edit the Output
You can use QuillBot for this step, but I find that it’s always a game of chance with that platform, especially since they’re AI themselves. What I suggest instead is tweaking the final output yourself using our guide.
But if you don’t have the time, the gist of it is you should purposefully correct Undetectable AI’s grammar. This means not only getting rid of grammar errors, but also making sure to lessen telltale signs of AI writing like:
- Common AI words. This includes words like “maintain”, “delve”, “revolutionize”, “utilize”, and overuse of transition words.
- Repetition. Re-read the entire essay and make sure concepts don’t get repeated throughout your work.
- Lists. Get rid of bullet lists.
Applying this logic to the essay above gives us this:
Oxford University has existed for almost a millennium because it has learned to change without necessarily losing its academic excellence. Oxford was established around 1096 but once King Henry II barred students from studying in Paris, Oxford became England’s leading university. Oxford struggled with some early problems, such as the hostility to students by the locals which resulted in the establishment of Cambridge in 1209; but Oxford flourished in the medieval period and flourished with the founding of colleges such as Balliol and Merton. The university also learned to shift with changes in religion during the Reformation, and it further diversified its subjects to focus on science and mathematics. The 19th century saw more openness, for instance, non-Anglicans and women were admitted. In the twentieth and twenty first century Oxford continued to develop the research, notably in the medical and technological areas. It has also maintained its adaptability, strong global reputation, and dedication to intellectual progress to ensure that it remains one of the world’s leading universities. |

This will, inevitably, raise the AI likelihood score just a little bit. However, at the end of the day, your goal shouldn’t be to remove all traces of AI (that’s just impossible) but to create reasonable doubt — and that’s what Undetectable AI can provide.

The Bottom Line
Once again, Undetectable AI proves to be an effective tool for students.
But here’s where I’m going to be real with you — AI detection tools exist and they’re not going anywhere. But their existence raises some serious questions about how we approach education in the AI age, especially since companies like Meta have been ramping up their development in the last few months.
Should we be focusing more on in-class work? Project-based learning? How do we actually prevent AI misuse in classrooms? These are the conversations we should be having.
Because at the end of the day, education isn’t about outsmarting the system — it’s about actually learning something valuable. Only use AI humanizers like Undetectable AI to prevent false positives, and not to cheat.
