Gossip has it that Lamine Yamal and Nicki Nicole were seen kissing

Lamine Yamal’s name is once again making headlines, although this time not because of any of the controversies surrounding his controversial 18th birthday party, nor because of sports news.

On this occasion, what’s brought the media spotlight onto the FC Barcelona player is that Lamine appears to have a romance with a very popular singer from Argentina, who in recent years has become one of the leading figures in Spanish-language urban music.

The footballer and Ballon d’Or nominee was seen in a flirtatious attitude with Nicki Nicole, according to Hola’s journalist Javi de Hoyos. “I got this from a source I trust a lot, a girl who never lets me down with information,” Hoyos said.

There was a lot of flirting

The gossip journalist claims that, although the artist attended the controversial Lamine party in Barcelona, nothing happened that day, “although there was a lot of flirting.” It was a couple of weeks later, on July 24th, when they were reportedly caught kissing in a nightclub and leaving together at around four in the morning.

Other signs point to this possible, unexpected summer romance. Like a photo the soccer player posted that same night, in which he appeared with a kiss on his cheek. 

Some even thought they could spot a photo of the singer on Lamine Yamal’s cell phone wallpaper, which would be clear proof that there’s more to them than just a beautiful friendship. 

The rumours gained even more weight when Nicki posted a video winking at the camera, just after Javi de Hoyos publicly asked them to make a meaningful gesture, like a wink, if anything was going on between them.

The Argentine singer is about to turn 25

But who is Nicki Nicole?  The artist, who is about to turn 25, was born on August 25, 2000, in Rosario, Argentina. 

She rose to fame in 2019 with the release of her debut single, “Wapo Traketero,” and since then, virtually all of her releases have become viral phenomena. She has collaborated with artists such as Bizarrap, Aitana, Rels B, and Bad Gyal, and had a high-profile romance with fellow singer Trueno, to whom she even got engaged before they split in 2023.

The footballer, for his part, has had a hectic month in the media spotlight. He turned 18 on July 13th, and his coming-of-age celebration has been surrounded by controversy, from the gift he received worth nearly half a million dollars to his much-talked-about party, which even garnered a complaint for hiring people with dwarfism as part of the entertainment.

Now, however, all his fans are asking the same question: Are Lamine and Nicki the new surprise couple of the summer?
