Elon Musk has allegedly offered to pay $15 million (€14 million) to influencer Ashley St. Clair in exchange for keeping quiet about their son, Romulus.
According to E! News, the 53-year-old Tesla CEO initially promised the lump sum along with monthly payments of $100,000 (€87,815) until the boy turned 21, in an attempt to keep the birth out of the public eye. Musk is reportedly now the father of 14 children with four different women.
But 26-year-old St. Clair declined the offer, telling Musk’s wealth manager Jared Birchall, “I don’t want my son to feel like he’s a secret.” Just four days after she made the baby’s birth public in February, Musk reportedly withdrew the $15 million and slashed the monthly support to $40,000, and then again to $20,000, The Telegraph reports.
Elon Musk’s paternity test confirms: 99.9999%
While Musk has not publicly acknowledged paternity, reports of a recent DNA test confirm there is a “99.9999%” chance he is the father of Romulus. Musk initially stated in a post on X, “No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”
St. Clair responded by handing over the keys to her $100,000 Tesla in a moment caught on video by the Daily Mail, saying she had to make up for the “60 per cent cut” Musk made to their son’s child support.
This isn’t the first time Musk has been accused of trying to keep his growing family out of the public eye. Several reports claim that Musk wants to father a “legion-level” number of children before what he believes is an impending apocalypse.
