FromSoftware has tweeted a new image for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, revealing a new character. Wielding a sword in one hand and a Dark Souls 2-esque helm in the other, they ask, “Will you walk with us?”
While there isn’t any other information, some have pointed out similarities, right down to dialogue, to a character from the recent story trailer. They’re kneeling before a bonfire, possibly narrating the trailer and maybe leading the other surrounding characters. Whether they’re friendly or hostile remains to be seen.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree launches on June 21st for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and PC. As FromSoftware’s largest expansion to date, it sees players venturing to the Land of Shadow after Miquella, battling new bosses – including the dreaded Messmer the Impaler – and uncovering its secrets.
The land is touted as larger than Limgrave and even has a “level-up” system to allow players to increase their power. Head here for more details.
