Amazon’s October Prime Day is winding down, but there’s still time to get a great deal on a new phone.
One of the highlights is the Pixel 7a. Until midnight tonight, you can get a cracking deal on Google’s mid-range handset in the UK. It’s down to just £299, with the necessary 30W fast charger included in the box. Compared to its £449 charger-free starting price, it’s a cracking buy.
However, it’s worth noting that this is a specific Prime Day deal, which means two things. The first is that it may be gone after today or when stock runs out – whichever happens first.
The second is that it’s exclusive to Amazon Prime members. A subscription costs £8.99 per month or £95 per year, but there’s a free 30-day trial if you haven’t signed up before.
The deal isn’t quite as impressive in the US, but it’s not far off and it isn’t specifically for Prime Day, so might not expire tonight. You can get the phone for $326.28, which is still a significant saving compared to its $499 price at launch.
Now, Google’s mid-range phone might’ve been released back in 2023, but it remains an excellent choice. The first thing to note is it’s guaranteed to get two more OS updates – Android 15 and a potential Android 16 – plus four more years of security patches.
It’s also just an excellent all-round phone, as our full Pixel 7a review shows. A superb camera, slick software and strong performance are all highlights. There’s a reason it’s still second in our mid-range phones round-up instead of the newer Pixel 8a.
