The fine and funny folks at Dropout just dropped a trailer for the second season of Dimension 20 spin-off Dungeons and Drag Queens ahead of its Jan. 8 premiere.
The actual play series will again feature RuPaul’s Drag Race season 8 winner Bob the Drag Queen as Tiefling sorcerer Gertrude, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 2 winner Alaska Thunderfuck as Orc barbarian Princess Foehammer, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 4 winner Monét X Change as Mer fighter Troyánn, and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 5 runner-up Jujubee as Fairy ranger Twyla. As always, Dimension 20 mainstay Brennan Lee Mulligan will act as dungeon master, leading the Questing Queens as they “face enemies and challenges more deadly than ever before.”
The first season of Dungeons and Drag Queens dropped the performers into the realm of Kelvorda, steeped in dark fantasy tropes and as fabulous as the queens themselves. The show was praised for bridging the gap between traditional roleplaying games and drag by providing the sometimes disparate members of both communities a way to experience what the other brings to the table (pun absolutely intended) in a fun, authentic way.
If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend checking out the first episode, which Dropout provided free of charge on YouTube when the series debuted in 2023.
New episodes of Dungeons and Drag Queens will go live on the Dropout streaming service weekly.
