As promised, CD Projekt RED has rolled out a free trial for Cyberpunk 2077 on current-gen consoles. Xbox Series X/S and PS5 players can enjoy five hours of the game until March 31st, 11:59 PM PDT.
The developer also provided a FAQ to clarify certain aspects of the free trial. For one, you can’t play it multiple times – after five of game time, it won’t be available again. Progress carries over to the game if you purchase it (and now is a good time since it’s on sale). Also, only the base game is available – no Phantom Liberty.
The free trial requires 99.3 GB of installation space on PS5 and 103 GB on Xbox Series X/S. While a subscription isn’t necessary for players worldwide, those who don’t have a PlayStation Plus subscription in Germany have to pay a fee of €0.15 to access it on PS5. Finally, PC players sadly won’t get a free trial due to “technical reasons.”
