Firaxis’s next entry in the Civilization series arrives early next year with Sid Meier’s Civilization 7. While the 4X gameplay formula remains, a new narrator joins the fold – Gwendoline Christie, known for her role as Brienne of Tarth in the Game of Thrones series. Check out the reveal trailer below.
Firaxis and 2K have also outlined the three editions available at launch. The Standard Edition costs $69.99 on all platforms except for Nintendo Switch (which retails for $59.99) and includes the base game.
The Deluxe Edition costs $89.99 on Switch and $99.99 on other platforms. It features the game, five days of early access, the post-launch Crossroads of the World Collection DLC, the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack, and the Deluxe Content Pack.
Finally, there’s the limited-time digital-only Founders Edition, available only until February 28th, 2025. For $119.99 on Switch and $129.99 everywhere else, it provides all the same benefits as the Deluxe Edition alongside the Founders Content Pack and post-launch Right to Rule Collection DLC.
Dual-gen entitlement is valid on all digital copies for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. However, it only applies to physical copies of Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One since the PS4 version is digital-only.
Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 launches on February 11th, 2025. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
