Marco Silva’s Cottagers bounced back from successive defeats in style last weekend as they beat league leaders Liverpool and are looking to follow up that scalp with victory on the south coast. They still have an opportunity to finish in the European places this season but can ill-afford many slip-ups between now and the campaign’s conclusion.

Bournemouth still harbour increasingly slim hopes of qualifying for Europe themselves but have fallen back to earth in recent weeks. They have failed to win any of their last six Premier League matches having fallen down the table and have been particularly poor on home soil, where they haven’t won in any competition across 90 minutes since the end of January.

Here is 90min’s guide to Monday’s clash.

Bournemouth still need to assess the availability of forward trio Marcus Tavernier, Luis Sinisterra and, most importantly, Justin Kluivert ahead of Monday’s battle with the Cottagers. Andoni Iraola would benefit from at least one of his injured attackers returning to the fold given his side’s current form.

Enes Unal will not be available again this season due to an ACL injury and Ryan Christie will also be missing for the remainder of the term after recently undergoing surgery on a knee issue.

Bournemouth predicted lineup vs Fulham (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Adams, Cook; Ouattara, Scott, Semenyo; Evanilson.

Harry Wilson

Fulham are again without the injured Reiss Nelson but could welcome Harry Wilson back into the fold. The Wales international has recently returned to training having been sidelined since the end of January.

Marco Silva will be hesitant to make any changes from the team that beat Liverpool last time out, with the likes of Raul Jimenez, Adama Traore and Emile Smith Rowe likely to start on the bench once more.

Fulham predicted lineup vs Bournemouth (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne. Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Lukic; Sessegnon, Pereira, Iwobi; Muniz.

Bournemouth enter this fixture in surprisingly underwhelming form and have lost their last three homes matches 2-1, with Monday potentially seeing them finish on the wrong side of that particular scoreline once again.

Fulham will be buzzing after their terrific victory against Liverpool last time out and have an almost entirely fit squad for their trip to the south coast. They know defeat will see them leapfrogged by Bournemouth in the standings, but victory will take them six points clear of their competitors for European football. That motivation may inspire them to victory.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Fulham
