Amon is in the spotlight for Gearbox’s upcoming Borderlands 4, with the Forgeknight’s Action Skills, passives and cinematic short recently revealed. The latest video sees the development team discussing the idea behind his design. Check it out below.
If it weren’t obvious, “forge” is a big part of Amon’s identity, right down to his armor, reinforcing that he creates his own weapons (when he’s not tossing them left and right at enemies). This also plays into his effects, which are meant to feel “thick and heavy,” and his silhouette, described as “sturdy.” Continuing its shape association, Gearbox describes Amon as a pentagon – five pillars of sturdiness.
With only Amon’s customization and cosmetic options remaining, the next and final Vault Hunter to be revealed is Harlowe of the Traunt family. Stay tuned for more details on her gravity-defying tools in the coming days.
Borderlands 4 launches on September 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC (October 3rd for Nintendo Switch 2). Thus far, Gearbox has revealed a lot, from its inspirations to the sheer number of guns present, but it’s yet to dive into the end-game, which promises to be “very ambitious.”
