Gearbox Entertainment is making its way towards the launch of Borderlands 4 with its last cinematic short and trailers focusing on Vex, the Siren, and her bloody awakening. While it promised similar origins and details on other Vault Hunters, the latest trailer instead focuses on CL4P-TP, otherwise known as Claptrap.
As the “last vestige” of the Crimson Resistance, Claptrap is a companion of sorts to the player, sometimes helping but mostly acting annoying. Which is the point, but if you can’t deal with the former steward bot’s ramblings and cringe dialogue (Gearbox’s words, not mine), there’s a Claptrap dialogue volume slider in the settings. Go ahead and mute him if necessary, or turn him up. The choice is yours.
Borderlands 4 launches on September 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC for $69.99. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for sometime later this year. Stay tuned for more details on the endgame or learn more about the post-launch plans, which include two new Vault Hunters, new map regions and narrative content.
