The first open beta for EA’s Battlefield 6 kicks off this weekend from August 9th to 10th. To give players enough time to download, it’s now available to preload across all platforms. A snazzy new trailer is also available to hype it up. Check it out below.
Those who watch sponsored streamers or subscribe to EA Play Pro can get in on the action on August 7th. However, the open beta returns from August 14th to 17th and won’t have any restrictions. Battlefield Studios has yet to detail all the available content (and, of course, things are subject to change), but it promises the “biggest beta ever” for the series.
At the very least, participants can play with open and closed weapons, the latter ensuring that specific weapon types are restricted to their corresponding classes. You can learn more about that here.
Battlefield 6 launches on October 10th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC for $69.99. Head here for more details, including the available maps, Portal, and more.
