Global Australian-based fitness studio FS8 has officially opened its first Colorado studio in Denver’s LoHi neighborhood, offering a combination of Pilates reformer exercises, mat work, toning exercises and yoga-inspired warm-ups and cool-downs.
Formerly an F45 Training studio, the 1,800-square-foot space is at 3100 Zuni St.
“We’re excited to introduce Denver to an amazing new workout experience called FS8, an innovative approach that seamlessly blends Pilates, Tone, and Yoga into a full-body, three-in-one workout,” said Tom Dowd, CEO of F45 Training Group.
FS8, which is owned by F45 Training, was founded in 2021.
Pilates, yoga and strength training are among the top 10 most-booked workouts globally, according to a 2024 report by ClassPass, a New York-based subscription service company that gives members access to fitness and wellness classes and services.
The report especially highlighted Pilates’ growing popularity as a workout, driven in part by social media and influencers. It ranked number one for bookings for the second consecutive year, showing an 84% increase compared to 2023.
“This unique fitness experience not only sets a new standard in Pilates training but also redefines studio design to be welcoming and inclusive, removing intimidation, making it perfect for every fitness level,” Dowd said.
According to their website, FS8’s 3-in-1, low-impact, high-energy workout approach is designed to strengthen both the body and the mind, drawing from a curated library of over 5,000 exercises and offering 50-minute, circuit-based workouts.
“FS” stands for functional style, which pays tribute to F45’s core training methodology.
The “8” refers to the number of scientific elements that support strength, including cardio, mobility, posture, coordination, resistance, mental health, balance and flexibility.
“The F45 parent company continues expanding worldwide with two unique Pilates concepts and functional training F45 studios. We look forward to bringing FS8 to Colorado and introducing this unique experience to more communities nationwide,” Dowd said.
A three-class intro offer is $59, a five-class pack is $175 and drop-ins are $35, based on the brand’s LoHi website.
The studio is open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the final class starting at 6 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, the hours are from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the last class at 10 a.m.
FS8 has more than 50 studios across the United States and around the world, including places like South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The fitness brand will also soon be opening another location in Arvada, although the exact address has not been announced yet.
