A new update has been released for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, bringing the game to version 1.0.3 with a focus on technical stability and graphical fixes. The hotfix addresses a visual issue on PlayStation 5 Pro systems related to HDR and PSSR rendering. Players using high-end displays should notice improved visual fidelity following the update.
Another fix targets a bug where the option to call the allies was missing, potentially disrupting gameplay or progression during specific encounters. The patch also includes general stability improvements to reduce crashes and smoothen performance. On PC, stuttering problems have been resolved, resulting in improved frame pacing during gameplay.
A crash occurring during the prologue sequence has also been fixed, which previously interrupted early progress for some players. In terms of visuals, the patch corrects graphical distortions seen on Yasuke’s outfit after dodging and crashing and display bugs related to the ‘Claw of Dragon’ weapon skin. However, the multi-sell feature in shops has been temporarily disabled due to unexpected issues, with a fix likely to follow in a future update.
Patch 1.0.3 varies significantly in size depending on the platform. The Xbox Series X|S version weighs 11 GB, while the PC and Mac updates are around 9 GB each. PlayStation 5 users receive a much smaller update at just 0.492 GB, and the Steam version is similarly lightweight at 0.40 GB.
