Rory Callum Sykes has died aged 32 trapped in his Los Angeles home, he is another victim of the rampaging Los Angeles wildfires.
This comes in the wake of officials saying that firefighter’s efforts to contain fires have been hindered by lack of access to water. Rory’s mother had to drive a quarter mile to first responders after 911 failed to answer her call. His separate living accommodation in Malibu caught fire after embers landed on the roof of the house.
She has said that firefighters told her, her son passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Who is Rory Sykes?
Rory was born blind and with cerebral palsy, his mom said “He overcame so much with surgeries and therapies to regain his sight and to be able to learn how to walk.”
And continued by explaining that “When the fire department brought me back, his cottage was burnt to the ground. He will be incredibly missed.”
As a child actor Rory hosted the British RTV Show Kiddy Kapers in 1998.
He is not part of the official death count, with another 11 people having already lost their lives in the fires so far.

Multiple fires have engulfed neighbourhoods across Los Angeles in the last 72 hours in what residents are describing as apocalyptic scenes. With more than 144,000 people under orders to evacuate and that number likely to increase as winds continue to pick up and propel the fires further.
There are currently 6 fires burning, some only partially controlled, others still out of control, The Palisades, Eaton, Kenneth, Lidia, Hurst and Archer fires have caused damage to thousands of structures.
The fires are currently burning over 37,614 acres with the largest and original Palisades fire accounting for 21,500 acres of that total number. President Joe Biden has described the devastation as “a war scene.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have visited survivors and emergency workers of the Eaton fire, they have also taken in friends forced to flee their homes.
An alleged arsonist has been arrested in connection with starting the Kenneth Fire.
