Four Oppo Find X9 optionsWhat about the Oppo Find X8 Mini?

Oppo is set to massively expand its flagship smartphone efforts with the Find X9 range, according to recent claims.

The current Oppo Find X8 family is made up of just two devices: the impressive Oppo Find X8 Pro and the excellent-value Oppo Find X8.

Seemingly spurred on by the positive reaction to these two phones, Oppo is set to literally double the size of its Find roster with this year’s Oppo Find X9 range – matching the Galaxy S25 family.

Four Oppo Find X9 options

Established leaker Digital Chat Station has issued a post on Chinese social network Weibo with an intriguing claim. Apparently, there will be four Oppo Find X9 models hitting the market over the next year or so.

The Oppo Find X9 will feature a “small straight screen” (via Google translation), and the Oppo Find X9 Pro will give you a “large straight screen”.

A new addition to the roster will be the Oppo Find X9 Plus with its “medium straight screen”, while the range-topping Find X9 Ultra will make a return with another “large straight screen”.

We’re taking that “straight screen” translation to mean that these will all be flat displays. At most, we’ll be getting the slightly curved edges of the Oppo Find X8 Pro, which strikes a nice balance between comfort and optimising the viewing experience.

How many of these four Find X9 devices make their way to the UK is another matter entirely, however.

At present, only the Oppo Find X8 Pro is available through the Oppo UK website, so it seems a little hopeful to expect all four Find X9s to find a home here.

What about the Oppo Find X8 Mini?

Of course, the Oppo Find X8 has long been tipped to expand to include a third device.

Digital Chat Station also had a few words to say about the so-called Oppo Find X8 Mini, which is reportedly set to be a version of the Oppo Find X8 with a smaller 6.3-inch display.

According to the tipster, this smaller device is still in the works (recent rumours suggest a March launch), but it may not sport the ‘Mini’ moniker after all – similar to the rumoured OnePlus 13 Mini (or 13T).

With genuinely small phones seemingly a dying (or even dead) breed, that’s probably a smart move. There’s no ‘Mini’ to be found in the names of the Samsung Galaxy S25, the Google Pixel 9, or the iPhone 16, after all.
