Nearly six months after launch, Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong continues to achieve new sales heights. Niko Partners recently reported that it’s sold over 25 million units, up from the 20 million sales confirmed in September 2024.
Furthermore, a flagship store launched on January 15th via E-commerce retail platform Tmall, stocking numerous branded goods like figurines, accessories, and more. Unsurprisingly, it’s also a huge success, accruing RMB 3 million (roughly $416,811) in sales in just three days. Such is the demand that certain products will be delivered “within 90 days.”
Fans can expect more merchandise for the title, with the developer creating a dedicated team to “design, produce, and market” the same. Stay tuned for updates in that regard.
Black Myth: Wukong is available for PS5 and PC. The Xbox Series X/S version was delayed due to technical issues, though it was rated by the ESRB last month. It received an update recently, adding new features like Boss Rush, Boss Rematch, and Journeyer’s Charts for improved navigation. An expansion is also in the works per Hero Games, Game Science’s external shareholder.
