LG’s new MX platform is part of the ‘Lifestyle Solution for Mobility’ concept vehicle and connects home and mobility to offer a new kind of lifestyle.
Announced at CES 2025, it sounds a bit corny, but it may be a concept for the future that could particularly appeal to younger people who cannot afford to buy a house or an apartment.
The MX platform turns the vehicle cabin into a customisable environment. Using modular systems and LG’s AI technologies, the car can serve as an extension of the home, a private media lounge or a creative studio.

The dual design includes a front cabin and a flexible rear space. The rear can be configured into different zones, such as a work lounge, a studio or a relaxation zone. Users can choose combinations of appliances and features to tailor the space to their needs.
LG’s Thinq On, an AI Home solution, allows users to customise the vehicle environment and access services such as daily schedules and information. External services, such as food orders and hotel bookings, can also be integrated.
The MX platform creates a hybrid between home and mobility, which could show the possibility of how transport can evolve into a personalised lifestyle. LG plans to make the platform available through subscription services, which should make it more accessible to wider audiences.
