In 2020, Bridgerton won viewers’ hearts as a lavish, feminist tale redefining the approach to period dramas. The series, set in a Regency era, is returning with its third instalment. Once again, it will certainly be filled with fiery love affairs and dreamy outfits.

Bridgerton season 3 release date
The third season of Bridgerton consists of eight episodes and is split into two parts.
Part 1 will debut on the service on Thursday, 16 May 2024.
Part 2 will be released on Thursday, 13 June 2024.

Sadly, it’s confirmed that Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor won’t return as the Duke and Duchess of Hastings.
However, the cast has expanded by four members. James Phoon stars as Harry Dankworth, a handsome (but not the brightest) young man. Sam Phillips plays the eccentric but friendly Lord Debling. Daniel Francis is a charismatic Marcus Anderson, while David Mumeni plays Lord Samadani.
Bridgerton season 3 plot
The show’s third season is mainly based on Romancing Mister Bridgerton, the fourth novel from the series written by Julia Quinn. This time, the story is focused on Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.
As the description of the season 3 goes:
Penelope has finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters. But lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly.
Meanwhile, Colin has returned from his summer travels with a new look and a serious sense of swagger. But he’s disheartened to realize that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder. Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.
Complicating matters for Penelope is her rift with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has found a new friend in a very unlikely place, while Penelope’s growing presence in the ton makes it all the more difficult to keep her Lady Whistledown alter ego a secret.
