Siren Isle is a big outdoor endgame experience set on a stormy island. The Kul Tirans occupied it during the Fourth War to mine Azerite, but those miners have mysteriously disappeared. A mysterious pulse of light draws attention to the island, so players will pack up and head over to dig into the new opportunities that Siren Isle presents. Players will be rewarded with a new currency: Flame Blessed Iron, which can be exchanged for goodies like mounts, pets, gear, and new transmog options. One of those mounts is Thrayir, an electric storm crow.
Blizzard also shared that Plunderstorm, the pirate-themed battle royale mode, will make a triumphant return sometime in early 2025. Plunderstorm threw a lot of the rules of World of Warcraft out the window, encouraging players to queue up for short-term matches and experiment with different classes from match to match. Plunderstorm will have both new and returning rewards, for those who missed the first round of the battle royale.
Timewalking Dungeons are returning, and players can earn the adorable Timely Buzzbee Skyriding mount. As a little surprise, Humans and Kul Tirans can customize their ears to have the elven tips of the Arathi that we met in Hallowfell, a settlement built by a fragment of the greater Arathi Empire, around a giant crystal beneath the surface of Azeroth.
Finally, a new questline is coming to the game. Dalaran, the wizard city of the Kirin Tor, was destroyed by the nefarious Xal’atath, who blew it out of the sky . The Kirin Tor “must confront their past mistakes and decide on the future course of their people.” This questline will be accompanied by a story prologue for 11.1, the first major patch and story development for The War Within.
