Following the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows to next year, Ubisoft’s strategy with the upcoming open-world title has undergone drastic changes. The Season Pass is cancelled, with all pre-orders receiving the first expansion for free. Advanced access is also gone – all players can access the title on the same day of launch.
These changes have also impacted the Collector’s Edition. According to a recent Discord Q&A (via Reddit), though the content “mostly remains” as advertised, there will be changes to design elements. The physical goodies include a SteelBook case, Collector’s art book, Naoe’s katana tsuba, the Naoe and Yasuke character statue, a world map, the Creed wall scroll, and two Sumi-e lithographs.
Aside from the cancelled Season Pass, players will still receive digital content like Sekiryu Dual Pack, Sekiryu Hideout Pack and five Mastery Points. Perhaps most notable is the price change, with the Collector’s Edition now costing $229.99/239.99€ on consoles and 229.99€/$229.99 on PC.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches on February 14th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
