Nintendo has announced some F-Zero titles this month for Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers. Starting October 11th, they can access F-Zero: GP Legend and F-Zero Climax. Both titles launched on the Game Boy Advance, but Climax has never been available outside of Japan until now.
F-Zero: GP Legend launched in 2003 for Japan and in 2004 for North America, offering Grand Prix and Story Modes. As players progress through them, they can unlock new characters, and there are other modes to dive into, like Time Attack, Zero Test (which provides challenges across four classes), and more.
On the other hand, F-Zero Climax would launch in 2004 for Japan and, as expected from a sequel with a short development cycle, plays just like GP Legend. However, it introduced some new gameplay mechanics, including the spin attack for attacking rival competitors. New modes include Survival and Edit, the latter allowing players to create tracks.
