The internet’s no stranger to paraphrasing tools. Grammarly, QuillBot — these have been in the arsenal of writers everywhere since they were first introduced.
But, since LLMs took centerstage, there has been a different type of paraphrasing tool that’s solving a whole new problem: false positive AI detection. These are AI bypassers.
Two of these are CogniBypass and Undetectable AI. The latter’s been making waves since 2023, but the former is relatively new to the game. The question is, does CogniBypass have what it takes to overtake Undetectable AI?
What are Undetectable AI and CogniBypass?
Undetectable AI is an AI bypassing tool that can “detect AI written text and make AI-generated content more human.” The goal is to remove characteristics that AI detectors typically look for, essentially attempting to disguise AI-written text (or something similar) as human content.
CogniBypass is the same thing. It can create a “humanized” version of AI-generated content (or content that appears to be AI-generated) through a process of sophisticated word rearrangement and removal of common AI telltale signs. It has two models: Nebula for more readable text and Meteor for quicker turnaround times.

Undetectable AI has a more readable output, in my opinion. It maintains the core message while using shorter sentences. The grammar is mostly on point, with only a few minor hiccups like missing apostrophes. Spelling is spot-on, showing attention to detail. The readability is good enough, with a smooth flow that keeps readers engaged.
CogniBypass, on the other hand, takes a different approach. Grammar-wise, it has a few more issues than Undetectable AI, with some awkward phrasing and sentence structures. Take note: I’m already using their new model for this comparison, which is supposed to create more readable text.
Spelling remains accurate, but the overall readability suffers due to the unexpected content shifts and longer, more complex sentences.
CogniBypass also introduces new elements not present in the original, like mentioning Sumatra and HuaweiHonor Russia. These additions feel out of place and a clear sign of AI hallucination since they’re fictitious. This is dangerous for anyone looking to use CogniBypass for a quick fix for their false positive woes.

The Bottom Line
In this head-to-head between CogniBypass and Undetectable AI, I’m still picking the latter.
Don’t get me wrong — I think CogniBypass has a lot of potential. But as they currently stand, Undetectable AI is just better in both quality of writing and AI bypassing precision. This may change over time though, since CogniBypass is actually one of the few bypassers out there constantly improving their model. Then again, so is Undetectable AI.
So, the bottom line is that they’re both worth your money, but if you’re only going with one (and let’s be honest, why wouldn’t you be?) then go with Undetectable AI.
