Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has received several new details courtesy of a new Steam Community post, from an offline mode for the campaign to the lack of pre-downloading for launch. While the title has a campaign, co-op missions called Operations, and PvP, there’s more content coming post-launch.
Though specifics are currently lacking, a blog for the post-launch roadmap will be published in mid-August. Co-op previews also go live next month (with content creators also providing their own gameplay). Saber Interactive has more short trailers in the pipeline, outlining additional weapons, PvE classes, etc. If you’re in Chicago from August 16th to 18th or Toronto from August 22nd to 25th, you can also go hands on with the game’s demo.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available on September 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Touting an original story that new players can jump into (though there are returning characters), the campaign is about 10 to 12 hours long, depending on the difficulty. Interestingly, while PvE is playable offline, the progression aspect won’t be available unless connected to the servers.
