When OpenAI created ChatGPT, their goal was simple: to create an AI that would benefit mankind. But what happens when a large company overlooks a crucial part of their technology and doesn’t plan ahead for all possible issues?
We’re seeing the implications today.
Because of the accessibility of LLMs, students have been abusing it for academic dishonesty. As a result, institutions turned to AI detectors for a permanent fix — only to discover that they’re band-aid solutions, and pretty unreliable ones at that.
False positives have become rampant in schools and it’s claiming the reputation of innocent students. The only thing we have against it are AI bypassers, and some of them are pretty effective.
For example, Undetectable AI has become a trustworthy ally against false positive AI detection. So, let’s see how it handles one of the most popular AI detection tools today in CrossPlag. Stay tuned!
What is Undetectable AI?
Have you ever had a submission that was returned because it was flagged as AI, even if you never actually used ChatGPT? If so, you’ve come to the right place.
Undetectable AI is a paraphrasing tool with a twist. Instead of focusing on readability, Undetectable AI tweaks your input so it would bypass most AI detectors. This is possible through a multi-step process that includes removing common AI words, restructuring sentences, and adding intentional human mistakes.
A more complete review of Undetectable AI can be found here. You can also check out our review of its paraphrasing tool with this article.
What is CrossPlag?
CrossPlag exists in direct opposition to tools like Undetectable AI. This AI detection tool can spot machine-generated content from a mile away. In fact, in a recent article by Undetectable AI themselves, CrossPlag was named as one of the most accurate detectors in the market today.
They offer a free trial once you sign up but, after that, you need credits to continue using their product. One credit checks 100 words, but if you’re looking to use CrossPlag long term, then I highly suggest getting more credits.

How To Properly Use Undetectable AI
Okay, before you get excited about using Undetectable AI, there’s one thing you should know. To better illustrate this, let me give you a pair of essays: one coming from Claude (a popular LLM) and the other is its equivalent when paraphrased by Undetectable AI:
In the sprawling marketplace of ideas, idealism has become the latest commodity, packaged and sold to the highest bidder. We’ve witnessed the transformation of noble aspirations into mere slogans, plastered across billboards and social media feeds. The currency of hope now jingles in corporate coffers. Companies drape themselves in the mantle of social justice, environmental stewardship, and ethical consumerism. Yet beneath this veneer of virtue lies a calculated strategy to capture market share and inflate profit margins. The irony is palpable: capitalism co-opts the very ideals that once sought to challenge its supremacy. This commodification of idealism has far-reaching consequences. Activism is reduced to hashtags and hollow gestures. Real change is supplanted by performative allyship. The urgent cry for systemic reform is muffled by the soothing whisper of “conscious capitalism.” But perhaps most insidious is how this process reshapes our collective imagination. We begin to believe that purchasing power is the primary vehicle for social change, that our role as citizens has been usurped by our status as consumers. In this brave new world, even revolution comes with a price tag. The question remains: can true idealism survive in a system that seeks to monetize every aspect of human experience? Or are we doomed to chase mirages in capitalism’s ever-expanding desert, forever thirsty for authentic change? |
In todays marketplace of ideas idealism has morphed into a commodity, neatly packaged and marketed to the highest bidder. We’ve seen goals reduced to catchphrases plastered all over billboards and social media platforms. The currency of hope now resides in the hands of corporations. Businesses cloak themselves in the garb of justice, environmentalism and ethical consumerism. However beneath this facade of righteousness lies a crafted plan to seize market dominance and boost profits. The irony is striking; capitalism appropriates the values that once aimed to challenge its reign. This commercialization of idealism carries implications. Activism is reduced to hashtags and empty gestures. Genuine transformation is overshadowed by support. The urgent call, for change is drowned out by the soothing promises of ” capitalism.” Perhaps most troubling is how this process reshapes our shared imagination. We start believing that buying power is the driver for progress overshadowing our role as active citizens with our role as consumers. In this evolving landscape even rebellion comes with a price tag attached. The lingering question persists; can authentic idealism thrive in a system intent, on monetizing every facet of existence? Is it possible that we are destined to pursue illusions in the growing landscape of capitalism always yearning for transformation? |
If you read closely, it becomes apparent how Undetectable AI’s grammar could use some work. Let’s compare them quickly.
The original essay is grammatically sound. It uses punctuation effectively. The sentences are well-structured. There are no glaring errors. It’s a solid piece of writing from a grammatical standpoint.
Undetectable AI’s version, however, has some issues. There are several comma splices. Some sentences lack necessary commas. Apostrophes are missing in a few contractions. The paragraph structure is a bit off. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely less polished than the original piece.
So, why does this happen?
It’s simple — there’s really no better way of avoiding AI detection than to create errors. Think of it this way: ChatGPT and other LLMs will always write in perfect grammar. Adding mistakes to the output decreases the chances it will get flagged because detectors won’t classify grammar errors as machine-generated.
If I’m being honest, it’s somewhat of a genius, albeit a little dirty tactic. But hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. You can always fix Undetectable AI’s grammar as you go along anyway.
What Now?
Go to our homepage and I guarantee you’ll be greeted with lots of articles about Undetectable AI against AI detection tools. But here’s what I’ll say: I’ve never seen an AI detector fail to flag Undetectable AI’s content at this rate.
At some point, I was definitely questioning my sanity and wondering if I was using CrossPlag properly. 100% human across 10 tests. That’s a first.
On one hand, I can attribute this to Undetectable AI’s effectiveness — which is something I’ve always spoken highly of. After all, it’s an AI bypasser, and a great one at that. But on the other hand, this test has also shown me how far CrossPlag has fallen behind compared to other detectors.
I could pile on and on about CrossPlag, but the results speak for themselves. And as for Undetectable AI, they’ve notched another win.
