Wade Wilson and Logan finally became a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which swallows more and more superheroes, just like the multiversal monster, Alioth.

Moreover, with Deadpool and Wolverine, the MCU has extended a welcome to many other superheroes. Some may have only been seen so far on comic pages, but some appeared in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men films. The creators of Deadpool 3 brought back the actors who portrayed them years ago, making character cameos even more exciting to spot.

If you don’t want to be spoiled, turn back now.

As expected, the movie features Toad, Lady Deathstrike, Azazel, and Juggernaut, but also several versions of Wolverine, and a literal horde of Deadpools. Some variants are more significant for the plot, while some only make blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearances. We’ve cherry-picked the most exciting cameos and broken them down for you ahead.

If you want to rewatch the movie and pick up all the cameos for yourself, here’s our guide to when Deadpool and Wolverine will be available to rent, buy and stream.

Major spoilers for Deadpool and Wolverine below.

Sabretooth

Played by Tyler Mane

Born as Victor Creed, this vicious and psychopathic mutant is considered to be Wolverine’s archenemy. He’s animalistic, characterised by razor-sharp claws, healing abilities, enhanced senses and superb strength.

Sabretooth was created by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne. Claremont intended Creed to be Wolverine’s father; however, other writers drifted away from this idea, depicting the mutant as another Weapon X Program participant.

In X-Men (2000), Sabretooth, portrayed by Tyler Mane, was a member of Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants. However, in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), he was played by Liev Schreiber and appeared to be Logan’s half-brother and co-soldier. The creators of Deadpool and Wolverine decided to bring back the first version of the villain.

Played by Blake Lively

Known as Wanda Wilson, she is a female version of Deadpool from the reality Earth-3010. She possesses the Regenerative Healing Factor, superhuman reflexes, resilience, speed and agility. At one point, she teamed up with Wade Wilson from Earth-616 and other variants of herself. Together, they created a multiversal squad called the Deadpool Corps.

In Deadpool and Wolverine, she makes only a short appearance and doesn’t pull off her mask, but it’s well known that she’s portrayed by Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds’ wife.

Dogpool (Mary Puppins)

In the comics, a dog named Wilson was the victim of experiments conducted by two scientists in the Earth-103173 reality. His body, left in a dumpster, was found by the members of a local circus. As it turned out, the experiments didn’t kill the dog but gave him extraordinary powers, including self-healing.

Under the name of Deadpool, the Daredevil Dog, Wilson performed deadly stunts for the circus crowd. Found by Wade Wilson from Earth-616, the dog became a member of Deadpool Corps.

In Deadpool and Wolverine, Dogpool is a friendly female dog who steals Wade Wilson’s heart. It is unknown if she has any actual superpowers.

Deadpool Kid (Cowboy Deadpool)

In comics, this mysterious version of Wade Wilson resided on Earth-1108 in the Wild West-like reality, and his nickname referred to the real-life gunslinger, the infamous Billy the Kid.

Little is known about this variant of Deadpool, besides the fact that he’s wanted for several crimes, including bank robbery, arson, and software piracy. Deadpool Kid (not to be mistaken for another Marvel character, Kidpool) carries a black hat and revolver and wears spurred boots.

Nicepool

Played by Ryan Reynolds

This long-haired, always smiling, and a really lovely variant of Deadpool actually doesn’t appear in comic books. However, this version of the anti-hero is genuinely hilarious, even if he lacks the Regenerative Healing Factor. Nicepool seems to be a Deadpool who found and took care of Dogpool.

In comics, a child version of Deadpool lived in the Xavier Orphanage for Troubled Boys on Earth-10330, but never fit in. After little Wade escaped the institution, he was recruited by Deadpool of Earth-616 and joined the Deadpool Corps.

Although only a child, Kidpool is a master of hand-to-hand combat and lightsaber fighting. He’s also as sassy and cheeky as his grown-up version, so it’s a shame that he didn’t stay for longer in Deadpool and Wolverine.

The rotten head cheerfully flying around is the weirdest variant of the Merc with a Mouth. This version of the superhero comes from Earth-2149 – a zombie-colonised reality.

In Deadpool and Wolverine, Headpool is probably the zombified head of Wade Wilson, who was decapitated in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine finale.

In various comic books stories, Elektra, an assassin and martial artist, is Matt Murdock’s foe, ally, or love interest. She is a skilled warrior of Greek descent working for an ancient ninja organisation called the Hand.

Onscreen, the superhero played by Jennifer Garner first appeared in the 20th Century Fox film Daredevil (2003) and later in a spin-off movie called Elektra. Another character version was introduced in the TV series Daredevil and The Defenders, where Elektra was portrayed by Élodie Yung.

In Deadpool and Wolverine, the variant of the character played by Jennifer Garner teams up with Gambit, Blade and Laura.

Remy Etienne LeBeau is a mutant who can manipulate kinetic energy. He’s also skilled at martial arts, card throwing and using a bō staff. He comes from New Orleans, thus, he can speak fluent Cajun English and Louisiana French.

In the live-action X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Taylor Kitsch played Gambit. However, in Deadpool and Wolverine, Channing Tatum – long fan-cast to play the superhero – took the role.

Eric Brooks was a vampire hunter, but also a dhampir. During labour, his mother was attacked and killed by a vampire, however baby Eric was infected with specific enzymes that changed his physiology. He became immune to vampire bites, and devoted his life to ridding the world of bloodsuckers.

The iconic warrior, played by Wesley Snipes, appears in three cinematic movies: Blade (1998), Blade II (2002) and Blade: Trinity (2004). The actor reprises his role in Deadpool and Wolverine as Blade, alongside Elektra, Gambit and Laura, and finds himself in the Void.

The storm-like monster first introduced onscreen in the TV series Loki, is a being that freed itself from the timestream. Alioth mainly roams the space called Limbo; however, it can appear in various realities, absorbing time travellers and devastating entire dimensions.

Known as the Human Torch, he is a founder and the youngest member of the Fantastic Four. Thanks to the mutation, he’s able to absorb and control flames, as well as make his entire body burst into fire without harm.

Onscreen, the superhero appeared in several films, portrayed by various actors. The creators of Deadpool and Wolverine confused viewers and Deadpool himself by bringing back the Human Torch as played by Chris Evans, although he more famously took the role of Captain America.

In the comic books, St. John Allerdyce has the power to control fire and is a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. The character, portrayed by Aaron Stanford, appeared in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. First, a member of the Charles Xavier Institute, he later became Magneto’s supporter.

In Deadpool and Wolverine, Pyro is a dweller of the Void, and the member of the Cassandra Nova crew.

The female clone and later the adoptive daughter of Wolverine first appeared in an animated TV series called X-Men: Evolution. The character was introduced later into comic books, and in 2017, X-23 made her big screen debut in Logan, where she was portrayed by Dafne Keen.

Laura’s superpowers are similar to Wolverine’s. She possesses the Regenerative Healing Factor, which gives her incredible speed, durability, and agility, as well as claws on her hands and feet.

In Deadpool and Wolverine, she appears in the Void and teams up with Elektra, Blade and Gambit.

Since he departed from DC, Henry Cavill has been rumoured to play various roles in MCU, and the world finally saw that happen… at least in a cameo. This Wolverine variant has everything Logan was famous for – he’s buff, angry, smoking a cigar and absolutely fabulous.
