Firewalk Studios’ Concord doesn’t seem to have in-game cinematics outside its weekly vignettes. However, that doesn’t mean it can’t use other mediums to expand on the lore. A new animated video for “Freegunner Adventures” is available, showcasing Jabali, Teo, and It-Z on a job. Check it out below.
The trio are at the Robot Ruins, searching for a memory module. An ambush occurs, and despite seemingly taking out all the rival crew members, Teo takes a hit while trying to protect It-Z. Cue from subterfuge while Jabali works his healing magic, and the quest to retrieve the module seemingly continues.
Such adventures sadly don’t play out in the game, which focuses on competitive multiplayer with 16 different Freegunners (each with multiple Variants), 12 maps, and six modes. Firewalk has also confirmed “hundreds” of customization items to earn in-game and no battle pass at launch.
Concord is available on August 23rd for PS5 and PC. Check out our impressions of the recent beta.
