EA Sports College Football 25 is out now worldwide, and while there’s significant hype, the number of players who bought into early access (via the Deluxe and MVP Editions) is impressive. Electronic Arts revealed that there were 2.2 million unique players during this period. The figure is separate from the 600,000 players who accessed the trial via EA Play, resulting in a whopping 2.8 million players.
It’s a strong start, especially considering the last title in the franchise (NCAA Football 14) launched over 11 years ago. SVP and group GM for EA Sports Daryl Holt said, “From the moment we decided to make EA Sports College Football 25, the passionate college football fans were our team’s north star. This game is for the fans, and the response we’ve seen from across the collegiate landscape, athletes, creators, celebrities and the core community has been nothing short of spectacular.
“Every team is someone’s favorite, and College Football 25 is a testament to the passion and dedication of our developers to build the most authentic college football experience possible for our fans. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome millions more into the game with today’s launch.”
EA Sports College Football 25 promises realistic gameplay courtesy of its CampusIQ system. Fielding your best players is important, but now you must consider Wear and Tear and how different impacts and hits affect your players. Various Mental and Physical Abilities are also available to turn the tides, while Homefield Advantage can affect you and your opponents.
