While The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak is available now in North America and Europe, Falcom is going full speed ahead on the next sequel. The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria launches this year for PS4 and PS5 in Japan and sees Van Arkride and friends venturing to Ored, presumably to stop the ruin of Zemuria.
With all the stakes involved, it’s perhaps unsurprising to see characters from other sagas, including Trails of Cold Steel, appear. According to new information by Falcom (via Gematsu), protagonist Rean Schwarzer returns alongside other Class VII members like Crow Armbrust and Altina Orion.
Fie Claussel is also confirmed after appearing in Trails through Daybreak (and the upcoming Trails through Daybreak 2). Towa Herschel, who supported the group through the series, also returns, venturing to a facility that her astronomer grandfather once visited.
Each character has their own goals in Kai no Kiseki, with Rean invited to the Republic of Calvard for some unknown reason and Altina fulfilling a request for the Epstein Foundation. Crow works with Marduk Total Security Company, whose HQ is in Ored. With Van and the others venturing to the same place, their interactions should be intriguing.
The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria launches on September 26th in Japan. Stay tuned for details on its Western release in the future. In the meantime, Trails through Daybreak 2 will launch in early 2025 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
