The Blade of Mercy is a Talisman found exclusively in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. This new addition to the game can be a huge help to anyone running a build that focuses heavily on critical hits, making it a must-grab as soon as possible. Luckily, it’s available at the very beginning of the DLC, so you won’t have to wait too long before adding it to your build.
Here’s what you need to know about the Blade of Mercy Talisman and where to find it.
Blade of Mercy stats and features
The Blade of Mercy has a weight of 0.3.
This Talisman will boost your attack power after each critical hit. You can perform critical hits by approaching an enemy from behind, or by breaking their stance and performing a visceral attack from the front.
Blade of Mercy item description
The Blade of Mercy’s item description reads:
“A thin, blood-stained dagger. No longer fit for use. Raises attack power after each critical hit. Hornsent employed this to honorably end the suffering of a compatriot. After claiming numerous lives, the dagger is now broken, but has acquired a spectral aura.”
Where to find the Blade of Mercy
You can find the Blade of Mercy at the outset of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion in the Gravesite Plain. Start from the first Site of Grace (Gravesite Plain Site of Grace) and make your way north toward the large ruins ahead.
This dilapidated structure is the Scorched Ruins, and you can grab another Site of Grace on the other side to make things easier for you if you die while exploring this location. When you’re ready to find the Blade of Mercy Talisman, however, start from the south side of the ruins.
Head up the relatively linear path on the left side of the structure until you reach the very top. There are scattered enemies throughout, but they’re all weak and shouldn’t pose much of a problem. When you reach the top, you’ll find a door in a skinny tower that reveals a treasure chest. Inside the chest is the Blade of Mercy Talisman just waiting for you to snag it.
