Summary created by Smart Answers AI

In summary:

  • Tech Advisor reports that Nothing Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro are expected to launch globally by early March, potentially around March 5th.
  • The new models will feature redesigned aesthetics, faster UFS 3.1 storage, larger batteries, and an unspecified Snapdragon processor with higher pricing anticipated.
  • These mid-range devices become crucial for Nothing since the company won’t release flagship phones in 2026, following their well-received Phone (3a).

The Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro should be launching in around a month’s time, according to a fresh tip.

Leaker Yogesh Brar has claimed that the Nothing Phone (4a) mid-range smartphone duo will be launching “globally by early March”, with a tentative date of 5 March.

The tipster also provides a brief list outlining the Nothing Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro’s key attributes. These include a new design, faster UFS 3.1 storage, a slight battery capacity bump, an unspecified Snapdragon processor, and a higher price.

None of this is a great surprise, of course. Nothing itself has dropped a few hints and outright feature previews that could lead one to each of these conclusions.

Back in mid-January, Nothing CEO Carl Pei issued an X post detailing why the company’s next phone would need to be more expensive, as well as mentioning that it would be improving storage speeds to UFS 3.1.

Then, just last week Pei appeared in an official video promising that the new mid-range duo would be closer to flagship-level right across the board: materials, design, screen, camera, and performance.

In that latter video, Pei dropped the bombshell that Nothing wouldn’t be releasing a new flagship phone in 2026. This places extra emphasis on the Nothing Phone (4a) launch, as it could very well be the company’s biggest product release of the year – with all due respect to its funky personal audio line.

We’re actually fine with such a state of affairs. We were big fans of last year’s Nothing Phone (3a), calling it “A stylish and well-rounded phone at a very appealing price” in our review before handing out a 4.5 out of 5 score.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro wasn’t quite such a strong value proposition, with only a minor bump in camera performance to justify its higher price. Still, it remains a compelling mid-range option.
