An 8 goal thriller sees Wrexham come back from 3-1 down to win 5-3 against Sheffield United in the Championship on Friday night.
Patrick Bamford put the Blades ahead just 7 minutes in with flicked volley from Seriki cross, before Wrexham went level through an Tyler Bindon on 9 minutes.
It was 2-1 Sheffield United with quarter of an hour played, Bamford getting on the end of Seriki’s low cross.
But 10 minutes later, Callum O’Hare rose above Matty James and goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo to once again level the scoreline.
The goals just kept on coming, Kieffer Moore against his former club with a thumping header from a corner to halve the deficit.
Shortly after half time, Wrexham were level, George Thomason with a beautiful cross for Ryan Longman to head home.
A seventh goal of the game with 15 minutes left on the clock and this time it was Wrexham who went in front, Moore placing it high beyond Michael Cooper.
George Thomason then went down and a penalty is given, with Wrexham then going 5-3 up. Tyler Bindon went to ground and the referee Andrew Kitchen pointed to the spot, while Bindon was booked. Josh Windass sent Michael Cooper the wrong way.
Then on the 93rd minute, a ball was nodded down to Tyrese Campbell, who saw his effort come back against the underside of the crossbar.
Wrexham’s Phil Parkinson, per Sky Sports:
“It was a strange game! Even at half-time I thought we’d played reasonably well, taking the goals out of it. We could have done better, but it was good movement from Bamford for two of the goals they scored.
“I always felt we’d get chances. We got back in the game well and then we just had to defend better in the box, which we did second half. The moments came our way and it’s a terrific win for us.
“Our front three were great and they worked hard for the team. I’m so pleased for Kieffer to get his two goals, and Josh obviously his first finish was great. Broady looked like he could create all night for us.
“And then there was George Thomason playing wing-back for the first time and he looked outstanding for us.”
Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder:
“You can’t concede five goals at any level of football and expect to get a result. It was all self-inflicted, and from our point of view the goals are really poor ones.
“We just couldn’t handle their front three, and Kieffer does what he does. We didn’t deal with it.
“We’ve come away from home and not got what we’ve wanted. I won’t use any excuses. We’ll concentrate on ourselves, reset, dust ourselves down and go again. We’ve just got to defend so much better.”
🗣️ “We never dealt with their front three and we especially never dealt with Kieffer”

Here’s how fans reacted after an 8 goal thriller sees Wrexham come back from 3-1 down to win 5-3 against Sheffield United…
@racecourserambl: Big credit to Parky tonight, firstly for being brave with the front 3 and secondly for sticking with it at 1-3 down when he must have been tempted to revert.
@sleavesley: Well done George Thomason – what a game playing out of position. Left it all out there. Glad Sky got it right as player of the match 👍👏 impressive team performance ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
@PeersRyan: Brilliant game to watch for everyone that had everything most importantly a win.
@chxco156: Parky ball has pulled me back in again
@WrexhamFan3: That one felt good, Reds! Tremendous effort from the boys to keep pushing from down 1-3. #askwxm #WxmAFC
@tonywhilding88: very rare we lose 2 in a row & with playing a CM at LWB i was concerned but playing Windass AND Broadhead together behind Moore is what we’ve all been crying out for and it’s paid off. Think the penny may have dropped with Parkinson there hopefully, outstanding. The first is a lovely goal from Bamford but the other 2 are poor from us, Arthur has cost us another goal tonight and he really needs to get his focus back. Going forward I thought that’s the best we looked this evening, so much better, that’s a proper Swansea reaction
@rolltitans5: The biggest positive from this entire season is also the biggest frustration. This team has given away enough points to be top 3 in the league and in contention for automatic promotion. However, for our first year in the league this type of success is phenomenal. #WxmAFC
Simply a brilliant game of football with both teams playing their part. Great resilience, spirit and belief shown from the Reds to recover from 3-1 to win by a comfortable margin at the end, roll on Tuesday. #WxmAFC #COYR pic.twitter.com/8k8K3ISnsj
