Pokémon Go Tour 2026 heads to Kalos

Pokémon Go trainers will be able to experience everything the Kalos region has to offer next year thanks to the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos. Announced Wednesday, the celebration will first have two in-person events in late February, followed by a global one in which all players can participate. Special shiny Pokémon, Mega Pokémon, and more will be a part of the event.

Largely inspired by France, Kalos first appeared in Pokémon X and Y, and the region’s capital Lumiose City is also the backdrop for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. With the aforementioned game’s release this past October, Kalos has returned to the forefront, and the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour will celebrate the region’s resurgence. This will mark the fifth year for Go Tours, which have previously taken players to locales like Unova and Sinnoh.

The two in-person events will take place in Los Angeles and Tainan, Taiwan Feb. 20-22, 2026. The former will take place at the Rose Bowl Stadium, while the latter will begin in Tainan Metropolitan Park before leading into the city. It’s unclear just what sort of activities these events will hold, but if they’re anything like past years, there will be special on-site gameplay and photo opportunities.

Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos – Global will take place worldwide Feb. 28-March 1, and will be free of charge, though players can opt to purchase a global event ticket for extra benefits. Seemingly similar to last year’s Tour Pass, an ev ent ticket will grant access to exclusive Special Research, increased shiny spawn chances, and other additional bonuses. However, not all bonuses are ticket locked — according to a blog post, each day all players will be granted the following benefits:

  • Mega-Evolved Pokémon will receive a CP boost
  • 1/2 hatch distance for eggs placed in incubators during the event
  • Up to six Special Trades per day
  • 1/2 Stardust cost for trades

During the global event, several shinies will make their debut in Pokémon Go: Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Klefki, Hawlucha, and Honedge will be available to all players, while a shiny Diancie is only for ticket holders. A special costumed Pikachu wearing Calem’s or Serena’s hat can also be found by everyone, in both normal and shiny form. Players will have until February to save up their Poké Balls, but tickets for the event are on sale now on the Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos website.
