European cloud communications leader Zadarma has announced the acquisition of Megacall, a Malaga-based VoIP provider. The move marks Zadarma’s second major acquisition, following its purchase of US company VoIPVoIP in 2024.
Founded in 2006, Zadarma operates across Europe with offices in Bulgaria, the UK, Poland and Spain, and runs six data centres across three continents. The acquisition reinforces its European footprint and enhances its service offerings for business customers.
New tools and integrations for Megacall clients
Zadarma confirmed that Megacall customers will transition smoothly, maintaining existing services while gaining access to a new suite of features, including:
- AI-powered speech analytics and advanced call insights
- Virtual phone numbers in more than 110 countries
- Cloud PBX systems for business communications
- Built-in CRM tools with call tracking and reporting
- Extended API integrations with popular systems such as RetellAI, Vapi, Zoho, HubSpot, ElevenLabs and Clientify
- 24/7 multilingual support, via phone or live chat
The merger brings together Megacall’s bespoke, turnkey solutions with Zadarma’s flexible, self-service model, offering both small businesses and enterprises greater adaptability in their communications setup.
A careful transition for Spanish clients
According to Zadarma, the transition was managed to ensure no service interruptions for Megacall customers. Users are being gradually upgraded to the new system, benefiting from enhanced reliability, user-friendly interfaces and AI integrations designed to optimise operations.
Megacall, founded in 2008 by Phoenix Solutions SLU, has built a strong reputation in Spain for its community partnerships, including work with Aldeas Infantiles, Samaritans in Spain, and the José Carreras Foundation against leukaemia.
For locals and expats in Spain who run their own companies, the merger means broader connectivity options and access to cutting-edge AI communications tools previously limited to larger enterprises. It also reinforces Spain’s role as a technology and business hub within the European VoIP and cloud communications sector.
