Despite some scepticism from fans of the main series, The Celebrity Traitors has gone down a storm in the UK. While the edition featuring famous faces is now sadly over, fans can rest easy, as series 4 of the main series is on the way.

When could The Traitors series 4 be released?
Filming for series 4 took place in June 2025. That’s around the same time as last year. The series was also shot around a month after The Celebrity Traitors.
Based on last year, we’d expect The Traitors to return in early January 2026. Pinpointing an exact release date is a bit of guesswork, but in 2025 the show kicked off on New Year’s Day (1 January 2025), which was a Wednesday.
In 2026, New Year’s Day falls on a Thursday – one of the three nights that The Traitors typically airs (Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays). So, it’s not a stretch to imagine that The Traitors series 4 may kick off on Thursday, 1 January 2026 – assuming it sticks to the same release schedule as previous years.
Alternatively, as The Celebrity Traitors has only just finished, the BBC may delay the release to a bit later to give fans more of a break.
