Frontier Developments has released a new trailer for its upcoming dinosaur park management game Jurassic World Evolution 3. The trailer, which you can check out below, showcases some of the managerial aspects of gameplay, including all the tools that players will have access to in order to help them better maintain their parks.
To help the player manage their parks, they will have access to different teams, each of which can handle one of the various aspects of park management and maintenance. These teams range from those responsible just for maintenance, a team of rangers and catchers, and mobile veterinary teams. The maintenance team, for example, takes care of degraded and broken equipment, like the different dinosaur enclosures.
The mobile veterinary unit – referred to as the MVU – is responsible for checking in on the various dinosaurs throughout your park and making sure that they are healthy and well taken care of. To do this, players will have to assign an MVU to a ranger post, after which the team will drive around in the surrounding area and check in on nearby dinosaurs. While the MVU is responsible for the health of dinosaurs, ranger teams will make sure that there aren’t issues when it comes to their comfort.
Along with this, players can prevent letting things get out of hand by making use of surveillance cameras, and assigning capture teams to them. When this is done, any dinosaur that manages to break out of its enclosure can then be taken care of by the capture team, which will minimise any collateral damage and make sure that the dinosaur is returned to the enclosure safe and sound.
Frontier Developments has showcased quite a bit of Jurassic World Evolution 3. Back in July, the studio had released a trailer highlighting one of the dinosaurs that players can have in their parks – the Lokiceratops. Named after Norse god Loki, the dinosaur was described by the trailer as being quite social with other herbivores in the are. It also prefers having private nests, for which it tends to be fiercely territorial for the protection of its young.
The third game in the series, Jurassic World Evolution 3 will build on the foundations that were put down by the first two games in the series. The gameplay revolves around players taking on the role of park manager and building up their very own dinosaur parks. To help populate it, players will also be making use of various processes, including breeding and synthesising, so that visitors to the park will have something to look forward to.
The management game will feature more than 80 pre-historic species, out of which 75 can be managed and bred, letting you foster entire families of dinosaurs across their various generations. Players will also have access to quite a few creative tools in order to ensure that their park looks just how they want them to. The title will also feature a full-blown campaign, the story of which will also feature characters from the Jurassic Park franchise, including Jeff Goldblum reprising his role of Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 21.
