Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launches worldwide on August 28th, but those who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition can play it now thanks to advanced access. Unfortunately, several issues relating to optimization and crashes have been reported on PC.
These include a crash occurring in the Survival Viewer when removing the Crocodile Cap under certain conditions. The killer crocs can also crash your game if they happen to be nearby and hungry while you’re foraging for food. Even opening the Codec window can result in a crash.
Of course, other notable issues include Snake floating in mid-air when going from a roll to a crawl and restricted movement when switching to Intrusion View. Konami is currently “investigating the causes” behind all this before developing a patch.
There’s currently no ETA, but the development team says it will take “a little longer” for the fixes. The patch will release in stages as soon as it’s ready, so stay tuned for updates.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out our review for the PS5 version here.
