The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE smartphone could be set for an impressive display upgrade, if a recent report is to be believed.
We previously heard that Samsung’s next not-quite-flagship phone would pack a similar 6.7-inch AMOLED display to its predecessor, albeit with an improved peak brightness of 2600 nits.
Now a fresh report from South Korea’s Zdnet claims that this screen could be far better than we expected.

Samsung getting flexible
The report claims that the Galaxy S25 FE’s screen will utilise a flexible OLED panel, rather than the rigid component of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE.
This will enable Samsung to make the Galaxy S25 FE more compact than its predecessor. The use of such a bendy OLED is typically reserved for outright flagship phones due to the added cost involved.
The report also hints that Samsung could begin employing these more premium flexible OLED panels in its Galaxy A range, presumably starting with next year’s Samsung Galaxy A57.
What will this mean for Samsung’s below-flagship phones? At 8mm thick, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could do with thinning down a little, while the Samsung Galaxy A56 has a fairly large footprint thanks to its non-uniform bezels and chunky chin.
Presumably a flexible OLED would help Samsung to address both of those minor criticisms with the relevant follow-up devices.
