The expansion of ICT services’ operations will generate roles in a number of key areas, including project management and field services.
Irish-owned provider of managed IT services and field support ICT Services has announced the acquisition of retail technology and cash management solutions company PCS Group.
As part of its expansion, ICT Services will increase its headcount by 20pc, creating around 35 new jobs over the next 12 months. Roles will be in the areas of field services, finance and commercial operations, sales and administrative support, presales and solution design, technical support services and project management.
ICT Services was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, with additional offices in Cork and Belfast. The company aims to provide public and private sector organisations with end-to-end IT services.
PCS Group, also headquartered in Dublin, was established in 2013, and offers intelligent and sustainable cash management solutions to retail, grocery and hospitality brands across Ireland.
Don Scanlon, the managing director of ICT Services, said, “This acquisition is not just about scale, it’s about bringing even greater value to the communities and industries we serve. Our vision has always been to empower businesses locally and globally with trusted technology solutions grounded in excellence, integrity and social responsibility.
“The addition of PCS strengthens our position as Ireland’s go-to partner for retail innovation, reinforcing our commitment to helping businesses operate more efficiently, sustainably and successfully in an increasingly digital world. We’re excited about what this means for our people, our clients and the future of in-store retail technology in Ireland.”
Alan Condron, the director at PCS Group, added, “This is a natural next step for PCS. ICT gives us the scale, strength and nationwide footprint to accelerate what we do best, helping retailers work smarter. We’re excited to bring even more value to our clients as part of the ICT family.”
Irish retail technology company VisionR also recently announced the creation of up to 30 jobs in Dublin following a €1.45m pre-series A funding round.
