Saber Interactive’s next title in the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine franchise is a few years off, but the studio promised “years” of support for Space Marine 2 in the meantime. With the current roadmap concluded, the developer confirmed a second year of free updates and paid DLC.
This means a new season pass with new PvE missions, weapons, enemies, and “more.” While it’s too early to reveal details, Saber Interactive confirmed a large-scale update in September to celebrate the game’s first anniversary.
It will add a new PvP mode with Chaos against Chaos on a new map (with the Helbrute available to control). That also means new Chaos Armor sets for players to unlock. If that wasn’t enough, a new melee weapon, the Power Axe, will also be added with unique executions, moves, and so on.
The new PvP mode was meant to ship with Update 9.0. However, the latter will now focus purely on balance changes. Saber also revealed that the new upcoming class is the Techmarine, but we’ll have to wait for more details.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It hit seven million players last month.
