With The Alters launching this week after several delays, 11 bit studios has revealed hardware requirements for PC players. Regardless of which preset you choose, 50 GB of installation space on a solid-state drive is required.
On the Low preset, playing at an upscaled 1080p and 30 FPS requires an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i7-6700, a Radeon RX 570 or GeForce GTX 1060, and 16 GB of RAM. Upscaled 1080p/60 FPS on Medium demands a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-7700, 16 GB RAM, and a GTX 1600 or Radeon RX 5600 XT.
If you want the same resolution and frame rate but on the High preset, then a Ryzen 7 5800X or Core i7-8700K, a Radeon RX 6600 XT or RTX 2070, and 16 GB RAM are required. Finally, to achieve upscaled 2160p/60 FPS at Ultra settings, you’ll need a Ryzen 9 5900X or Core i7-12700, a Radeon RX 7900 XTX or RTX 4080 Super, and 32 GB of RAM.
