Tranzaura is currently hiring a chief operating officer and development operations among other senior roles.

Limerick-based transport-tech firm Tranzaura has just opened its new office in the city and has announced plans to double its workforce over the next 18 months.

Founded in 2010, Tranzaura provides fleet management and intelligence for industries in Europe and Australia. The firm brings real-time information to transport and fleet companies to drive operational efficiencies, keep track of compliance obligations and manage assets.

Its new offices are based in the Georgian Quarter in Limerick city and is set to serve as the company’s hub as it plans to expand further, especially into the wider European market.

The company is planning on hiring across all of its divisions, it announced, from product development and customer handling to engineering and sales.

The company’s CEO Shane Mann said that Tranzaura hopes to grow its headcount by a minimum of 50pc in 2025 and have more than 40 employees by summer 2026.

Currently, it is hiring for nine positions, including a chief operating officer, DevOps lead and business development manager among other senior roles.

According to Tranzaura, 65pc of red buses in London use the firm’s existing software, along with 36pc of all buses across England.

In addition, its clientele also includes Irish Rail, builders’ merchant retailer Travis Perkins, utilities leader Yorkshire Water and packaging giant DS Smith.

“Our new office represents much more than just a change in location – it’s a clear signal of where Tranzaura is headed,” said Mann. “We’re investing in our future, scaling our operations and deepening our Limerick roots.

“Limerick is our home and is the perfect place to do that, with its talent pool, strong infrastructure and growing tech community in the city centre.

“As we grow, we remain focused on what matters most; delivering tangible value to our customers, creating a supportive and inclusive work culture and making transport operations safer and more efficient for everyone,” he added.

Speaking ahead of the event, Limerick TD Niall Collins said: “Tranzaura is a great example of a homegrown Limerick company that is not only thriving locally but also competing and innovating on a global stage.

“Their continued growth and success underline the remarkable talent and entrepreneurial spirit that exists here in the mid-west region.”
