After the invasion of the shape-shifting Skrulls and the political schemes from Captain America: Brave New World, another threat hangs over Earth. Since the Avengers no longer exist, the Thunderbolts* seem to be humankind’s last hope.
Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes, aka Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) square off to fight against an entity known as the Void… though they don’t have superpowers and know little about saving the world.

When will Thunderbolts* be released on VOD?
Marvel hasn’t revealed when Thunderbolts* will become available for rental or purchase. However, the previous films in MCU’s Phase Five hit VOD between 60 and 67 days after they opened in cinemas.
The financial results didn’t seem to affect the amount of time it took. Captain America: Brave New World and The Marvels underperformed at the box office, and they debuted on VOD after 60 and 67 days, respectively. Conversely, the highly successful Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 dropped on digital 63 days after the cinematic release, while the smashing Deadpool and Wolverine needed 67 days.
If Thunderbolts* follows that trend, it may drop on digital between Tuesday, 1 July 2025 and Tuesday, 8 July 2025.
When will Thunderbolts* be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
Physical copies of Marvel superhero films appear quickly. Deadpool and Wolverine was released just 21 days after its VOD debut. It took 25 days for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and 28 days for Captain America: Brave New World to appear on DVD and Blu-ray.
Therefore, we expect that copies of Thunderbolts* will appear between Tuesday, 22 July 2025 and Tuesday, 5 August 2025.

When could Thunderbolts* be released on streaming services?
Disney tends to launch its movies on streaming quickly, sometimes just a day after physical copies appear in stores. Sometimes, however, this time is extended to three weeks.
Therefore, Thunderbolts* may arrive on Disney+ anywhere between Wednesday 23 July 2025 and Tuesday, 26 August 2025.
